Crews started the meticulous process of putting the refurbished bottle on the Allegheny Avenue side of the stadium Tuesday morning.

The two giant bottles were removed in July, not long after it was revealed that the North Shore home of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt Panthers would be renamed Acrisure Stadium after more than 20 years as Heinz Field.

"To see it here, it's even more exciting," said Nick Benevento, who organized the project to bring the bottle back. "It brings back the memories that we've all been to at Heinz Field."

Benevento said several companies coordinated to remove, sand, paint and put new decals on the 35-foot fiberglass bottle.

It was one of the symbols Steelers fans were holding on to, hoping that the partnership the Steelers said they are keeping with Heinz would keep the bottles and Heinz Red Zone many fans have come to love.

In January, Steelers owner Art Rooney II told us one bottle would be placed at the entrance below the scoreboard known as Gate C, which will be called the Heinz Gate.

As for the other bottle, a spokesperson for Kraft Heinz said in a statement that the company is "refurbishing the bottle, along with additional Heinz Field memorabilia, and we're developing a plan that will re-introduce that bottle to the Pittsburgh community again in the near future, but away from the stadium."

The statement went on to say that the company will share more details on the plan soon.
